“Not every home should have a dog, but every dog should have a home.”

Each week I spotlight one of my rescue partners whose hard work and dedication make a difference for homeless animals.  This week it’s Midnight’s Journey!

Midnight’s Journey, Inc.  DBA as Cheyenne’s Homeward Bound Animal and Rescue Shelter is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and has a goal to help find dogs their “Forever Home”. We are in Jarrell, Texas. Due to the new home developments that are coming in, the pet population is increasing, so we are going to be offering help, training, and general welfare for all dogs. Currently all of our animals are in foster homes. We have corporate offices that we use to show potential adopters the animals they are interested in.

Our Mission is to be able to:
*Provide a safe and secure facility for animals during their transition in finding their forever homes
*To train and rehabilitate animals during their transitional phase
*To educate the public and train them in animal responsibility
*To make the community aware of our service to keep dogs and animals safe from traffic, being killed on people’s property being rescued when called
* To save as many shelter dogs lives possible by networking with other animal rescue groups and expanding our committed network of resources, Especially, high kill shelters.
* To live by the guideline, “Not every home should have a dog, but every dog should have a home.”
*To provide spay/neuter programs within our organization: Retention programs, adoption programs, partnering, working with community service, public awareness of abuse/fighting/cruelty and promote strategic plans to help legislation and laws punish accordingly.
