Diane will come to your school or library to share her vision of compassion and kindness!
Diane loves reading her JJ the American Street Dog books with elementary age school children. The reading is followed by an interactive discussion about responsibility, compassion, kindness, basic pet care, bonding, unconditional love, and dog bite prevention. Diane is also happy to talk about the writing, illustrating, and publishing process, too!

“One of the best Camp Kindness experiences we have had this summer, was an author Skype session with Diane Rose-Solomon, author of JJ The American Street Dog and How He Came to Live in Our House. It was a perfect fit for the camp. Each child received a certificate for completing Camp Kindness as well as another certificate from Team Kindness for being apart of Team Kindness.
“The Skype session went great. The kids were 5-8 years old and they participated really well with the Skype. They were excited to connect with someone in California when we are in Michigan. Some of the campers purchased a signed copy of the book JJ The American Street Dog to read along with Diane during the Skype. It was a great way to use modern technology to enhance the camp experience. Diane was also an amazing help through it all and had great ideas for how to do the session.”
